MX5 uses LG lithium batteries as a power source and a quiet DC motor as a driving mechanism. The motor is built directly into the wheel (known as a HUB motor) and the detachable battery is discreetly hidden in the frame. Early e-bike models have pedal assist generally, yet due to weight/performance concerns, MX5, a 3^rd generation electric powered foldable e-bike does not have pedal assist. Instead has a powerful BLDC HUB motor with cutting edge touches.

Airbike MX5 is a fully electric bike, except its futuristic and authentic design, basic bicycle riding principles apply. All you need to do is keeping your balance and operating throttle grip smoothly. MX5 does not have any pedals like stereotypes and riding MX5 feels more like riding a motorcycle. You will love that feeling. Also do not put away safety precautions.

The speed of MX5 varies based upon several factors. Maximum speed of MX5 is limited to 20 km/h. 350W continuous and 600W instantaneous output of its powerful motor allows you to go faster yet due to traffic regulations in some countries the max speed is limited.

MX5’s average range is 25 – 30 km. Yet the range of MX5 may vary due to certain conditions. Terrain, weight, battery status and speed affect the range.

MX5 is equipped with a high quality LG Lithium battery and it takes 3 hours to fully charge.

MX5 uses LG 18650 Lithium Battery which successfully passed all durability tests and has all the certifications. This enhanced battery lasts over 1000 charges. That means if you use your MX5 as you every day electric commuter it will last over 3 years. To extend the life of your battery, charge the battery regularly and promptly after each use. If you store your bike for prolonged period of times, recharge every 4-6 weeks. The longer battery sits uncharged, the faster the life will be reduced.

There is no license obligation for riding MX5 in most countries. Yet in some countries, there are certain speed limits thus the speed of MX5 is limited to 20 km/h. Airbike is not responsible for any kind of speed modifications made by the user.

Airbike MX5’s motor works between -10 degrees and +45 degrees. Apart from that it is water resistant and equipped with all-terrain-tires, adaptable to all weather conditions. You can use your MX5 in every weather condition you use your regular bike. Always take your safety precautions for a smooth ride.

MX5’s all-terrain-tires last 3 years. For your safety please change your tires before they get corroded.

MX5 can easily climb up to 18 degrees of slopes and climb down in a controlled manner with its updated – front & rear – disc brake system. Disc brakes will provide you the safest deceleration and they deliver the best performance in every condition.

You can simply activate Bluetooth in your smart device, find and match your smart device with Airbike MX5. You are good to go! Bring your playlist anywhere you go. You don’t want your smart device run out of battery? Connect your smart device to MX5 with USB and let MX5 charge your device.

MX5 comes with its remote control that allows you control your e-bike within 10 m range once it’s matched. As a security measure, your MX5 cannot get started if the distance is beyond this range. You can switch to parking mode, switch between total mileage and trip mileage, reset the mileage and  shut down your MX5 via its remote control.

In order to change your shipping address or any other contact information, you can contact us via email or phone. Please do all necessary changes at least 48 hours before your MX5 is scheduled to ship. We will make the changes for you.

Airbike MX5 comes with 2 years of warranty. We have an experienced in-house technical service team and a customer service team, dedicated to provide the best experience for our customers. Your warranty is expired? Do not worry, we provide lifetime technical support.
Please note that in accordance with global regulations, the battery has 1 year warranty yet if you use your battery properly it will last more than 3 years.

MX5 is just like the regular bicycles besides it’s electric powered it is more than that. It is important to check your speed on sidewalks and checking your local laws/regulations. Always remember to take precautions against ever-changing conditions.

MX5 is created to being folded and stored easily. It is only 17 kg. With it’s easy-fold design you can carry or drag it to anywhere you go and fit it into your car trunk easily. Airbike MX5’s folded dimensions are 34cm x 66 cm x 80 cm.

Regularly inspecting your e-bike for any damage and checking that every part of it running/operating properly, especially disc brakes, is all the maintenance your e-bike needs. You can contact our technical team for any technical information you wish to learn. If you would like to clean your e-bike you can use a damp cloth or a cleanser liquid, you can simply provide from a bike store. You should keep harsh chemicals away from your e-bike not to damage the texture of the product or electrical equipment.

Besides, MX5 is created with ultimate simplicity to ensure its maintenance-free specialty. Not having pedals, chain or any moving parts you only need to perform maintenance on tires and disc brakes. On the contrary of chained e-bikes with pedals you do not need to worry about anything and just need to focus your riding experience. To use your MX5 for years with no problem you just need to clean it and show it some love.

MX5’s charger is manufactured due to European standards and comes with standard C and F type plug. But we provide the plug adapter to convert the charger to A type plug if needed.

Except from some essential parts, MX5’s tires, disc brakes, fenders, levers and all the other parts are obtainable from local bicycle stores.
